"Light Studies" features works in the Serralves Collection by artists that explore the various possibilities of light. Throughout the history of art, light has been a focus for painters, sculptors, architects and photographers: light, and the shadows and contours it defines, helps to distinguish, for example, between southern and northern European schools of painting.
