Solo exhibition
Galeria Fundação Amélia de Mello - Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon
01.07 - 22.09.2026
The Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery, at the Catholic University in Lisbon, is hosting the exhibition “Disobedience Archive (The Agitational Billboard)” until September. This internationally renowned curatorial project, conceived by Marco Scotini, explores the relationships between artistic practices, social movements and political action.
Featuring 18 film works organised into two thematic sections entitled “Gender Disobedience” and “Insurgent Communities and Colonialism”, the exhibition features artist Ângela Ferreira as a guest. Internationally recognised, her work has consistently explored the legacies of colonialism, the circulation of political forms and the relationships between architecture, memory and liberation movements. By contributing to the spatial and visual organisation of the exhibition, her intervention provides a framework through which the archive can be reinterpreted from the perspective of transnational solidarities and histories of emancipation.
