State of affairs... or, according to Duden, "the current situation, the current state of affairs" is the thematic link between the works of Friederike von Rauch, Sabine Hornig and Julian Rosefeldt.

As different as their works may be in terms of medium, aesthetics and presentation, they equally reflect an analysis of the fundamental and urgent issues of our time. The sensitivity and poetics of their artistic signature contrast with the harsh reality and urgency of the themes addressed.
