The Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art gallery announces the project "VOLTA AO MUNDO/AROUND THE WORLD" by Lawrence Weiner, to be inaugurated at the National Pantheon in May 2025.

The installation will be supported by the estate of the American artist, a central figure in international conceptual art, and André de Quiroga.

Gallery owner Cristina Guerra began working with Lawrence Weiner in 2002 with the solo exhibition ‘Towards The End Of The Beginning’. Since then, the gallery has presented six solo exhibitions by the artist, the last of which opened in 2021, the year of his disappearance. From this exhibition "AROUND THE WORLD" comes the work that will occupy the space of the national monument.

A book will be published to accompany the exhibition, which includes texts by André de Quiroga, Santiago Macias, director of the National Pantheon, and curator Bartomeu Mari.

The exhibition opens on May 30, from 6pm to 9pm, during the ARCOlisboa fair and will be on view until 31 August 2025.
