A member of the Board of the D. Luís I Foundation, Américo Marques is a collector who, with a keen eye and great dedication, has assembled a collection of works that express the restlessness of each author's inspiration and imagination, stimulating our aesthetic pleasure.

In 2025, when the Cascais Cultural Centre celebrates its 25th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of the Museum Quarter, it is a great privilege to be able to show A Deslocação do Olhar - Coleção de Américo Marques (The Shift of the Gaze - Américo Marques Collection) in Cascais as part of these significant events.
