With Limited Company, the Belvedere 21 is presenting the first solo museum exhibition of British artist Jonathan Monk in Austria. Monk is known for his humorous appropriation of iconic works of minimal and conceptual art, rethinking works by artists such as On Kawara, Sol LeWitt, Sigmar Polke and Franz West and in some cases interweaving them with his own history. His multifaceted work scrutinises art (history) and its myths and ranges from painting and photography to installations and films.
